‘Pass It On’ Focaccia.

This week, at our ‘pass It on’ cafe, we welcomed Martin from Roundhay Bakehouse who demonstrated a fabulous focaccia recipe. Everyone enjoyed the demonstration and I will definitely be having a go! A big THANK YOU to Martin for giving up his time for our school community. Why not visit Roundhay Bakehouse and try some delicious artisan bread. Details are on his website, just search for Roundhay Bakehouse.

Spanakopita

Our first ‘pass It On’ cafe began with a demonstration of spanakopita, a delicious Greek pie, containing spinach and feta cheese. It was absolutely delicious!

A big thank you to Vicki for passing it on.

Why not join us between 9am and 11am on Tuesday mornings? Learn something new and enjoy a coffee and a chat. Perhaps you have a dish you would like to share!

A New Year In The ACE Cafe.

Our first week back and already 3SK have been busy in our Cafe making apple and blackberry crumbles. All the fruit has been grown in our school grounds. Look at the apples we used. What do you think they look like when they have been peeled?

We saw slinkies, beehives and Chinese lanterns.

We made about 50 fruit crumbles, everyone took one home and the remainder were sold to parents and staff. What did you enjoy yours with?

Bettys Visit.

5SK visited Bettys cookery school to learn how to make bread. They also enjoyed a tour of the factory whilst their bread was baking. The smell was fabulous! Did you all enjoy your bread 5SK?So sorry Mr Kay wasn’t able to join us!

Bettys with 5LM.

Some of 5LM were lucky enough to visit Bettys cookery school in Harrogate, for a bread making workshop and tour of the factory. They had a fabulous time and all came back with their own bread rolls made to Bettys recipe.

How was your bread 5LM?
