Hot Cross Buns For Easter.
4CC made giant hot cross buns to take to St. John’s Church for our Easter service. Oscar has already proved he is a wizz at kneading. They tested one of them out on their class mates. Did you enjoy your sample 4CC?
Rocky Road.
Year 3DC enjoyed making rocky road for their celebration event. Naughty but nice!
Science Week!
Baking is all about science so this week 4CC watched as Mrs Walker demonstrated how to make honeycomb. This is not to be tried without an adult, as it involves boiling sugar! However it’s fun to watch, and have a taste, when it has cooled down.
Caramalise the sugar and golden syrup then whisk in the bicarbonate of soda. Watch it fizz!

Fuel For Schools With 4CC.
Anoth delicious meal made with food which was destined for land fill! Chickpea curry and chapati cooked by 4CC and enjoyed by 4 CC.
Pass It On.
A most enjoyable morning with Miss Wright as our head chef. She (with the help of many sous chefs) demonstrated a delicious vegetarian shepherds pie. It was tasted by everyone in the cafe and the remainder went into the staff room, where it didn’t last very long! Thank you Miss Wright for being a great sport!
Fairtrade Banana And Chocolate Muffins.
Pupils from 5LM and 5SK made Fairtrade banana and chocolate muffins for the Friends Fairtrade cafe. They were enjoyed by visitors to the cafe, along with the Fairtrade coconut and chocolate macaroons made by 4DM yesterday.
Fairtrade Cafe Baking.
In preparation for the Fairtrade cafe tomorrow, some pupils from 4DM baked macaroons drizzled with Fairtrade chocolate. Looking forward to trying them with a cup of tea tomorrow!
Pass It On.
This week Mrs Clarks’ sister, visiting from Greece, showed the group Greek dips, Greek salad and pitta bread. It was delicious, health and easy when you are shown how. She even managed to arrange a little bit of sunshine! Thanks Mel, I hope you can be persuaded to do some more Greek cooking next time you visit!
